MSSC STRUGGLE REPORT (서울, 南朝鮮 04-04-24/25)size>color>

For several reasons this weekend was really great. The main reason of course: our today’s really successful rally and demonstration.
But let’s start at the beginning. Yesterday, because nearly all MSSC members were in their home regions to organize comrades for today’s rally, only one representative was able to participate on the anti-war rally. Around 600 people (for the beginning of a possible movement it might be enough, but not for to push the parliamentarians to cancel their plans for troop dispatching!!) gathered in Seoul’s Daehak-no district. In the beginning only around 300 members of All Together participated, but a while later more 300 mainly self-organized students joined. The atmosphere, even only few people joined (Where are all the people who are against troop dispatching plan? Remember last anti-war rallycolor> and even this, for to force the MP’s, it is not enough!), was just nice. Stop Crackdown Band was playing there.
In the evening three members of MSSC joined the Resistance Festival, held by self-organized student groups in front of the main entrance of Yonsei University. Around 200 students followed a nice program performed mainly by their friends and comrades. Highlight of the program: the performance of… Stop Crackdown Band. It was really great to hear from 200 voices “Stop crackdown, achieve working visa!”
Let’s come now to the weekend’s main act: our today’s rally and demo. Arrived in Jongmyo Park - the reporter had to carry the 2000 leaflets - the whole thing looked more like a nice All Together rally, joined by some Migrant workers. Around 3 pm Lee Soo-ho, the president of KCTU opened the rally with a speech, full supporting our demands. Also here one of the main acts, probably you’ll guess… Stop Crackdown Band. Meanwhile more and more migrant workers – at last around 400/500 joined (all together we were at least 900) - from the different regions around Seoul arrived. Another highlight: the performance of MSSC’s “Jeon Tae-il” “mime” team. You were able to see how much especially Korean students like their performances. All together the atmosphere on the rally and the following demonstration, we marched, accompanied by a large units of riot cops (f… 1001, 1002, 1003…), from Jongmyo Park to our struggle area Myeong-dong. Here, like usual, the cops blocked the way and we answered with a sit-in blockade. Finally the cops opened the way and we could enter our struggle place.
Meanwhile in the back of the cops a small party took place until the cops disappeared.
After all just a great event and when we are able - we will do our best, you can believe - to continue like this, finally one fine day we will succeed!
